SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. — Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College placed four student-athletes on the 2026 River States Conference All-Conference Teams, highlighted by
Bailey Duke's selection to the Second Team.
Duke capped a standout sophomore campaign as one of the top offensive players in the conference, batting .320 with a team-best .960 OPS. The Montezuma, Indiana native totaled 39 hits, including 11 doubles and seven home runs, while driving in 22 runs and scoring 24 times across 42 starts.
Earlier this season, Duke earned River States Conference Player of the Week honors following a dominant six-game stretch in which she hit .389 (7-for-18) with four home runs, five runs scored and six RBIs. Two of those home runs came in walk-off fashion, lifting the Pomeroys to key conference victories. Her week was highlighted by a 3-for-4 performance with a double, two home runs and two RBIs in a win over Shawnee State, along with a two-home run, three-RBI game in a victory over Indiana Southeast.
Duke continued to deliver throughout the season, recording multiple multi-hit performances, including a three-hit outing in the regular season finale against IU Columbus and a three-hit, three-RBI game against Brescia. Defensively, she anchored the infield at shortstop, handling a high volume of chances throughout the year.
The Pomeroys added three Third Team All-RSC selections in
Jasmine Kinzer,
Caeden Bennett and
Kyar McVey.
McVey, a sophomore outfielder from Terre Haute, Indiana, led SMWC with a .364 batting average and a .414 on-base percentage, collecting 47 hits and swiping 25 bases to serve as a catalyst at the top of the lineup.
Bennett, a senior right fielder from Hillsdale, Indiana, provided consistent production in the middle of the order, batting .353 with 36 hits, six doubles, two home runs and 13 RBIs. She recorded several multi-hit performances, including a three-hit, three-RBI game against Brescia.
Kinzer, a senior from Terre Haute, Indiana, earned recognition as a two-way standout. In the circle, she posted an 8-12 record with a 4.33 ERA across 119.2 innings pitched, striking out 60 batters while recording 12 complete games and one shutout. She highlighted her season with a complete-game shutout against Clarke (Iowa) and an eight-inning performance allowing just one earned run against Shawnee State.
As a team, SMWC finished the 2026 campaign with a .277 batting average, totaling 326 hits, 122 RBIs and 55 stolen bases.
