SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's volleyball setter
Ethan Ricketts has been named the
River States Conference Setter of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Ricketts directed the Pomeroys' offense during a successful week that included a nonconference victory at Franklin and a River States Conference win over Cumberland. Across three matches, Ricketts totaled
73 assists, averaging
9.13 assists per set, while helping guide Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College to a pair of 3–1 victories.
The sophomore setter opened the week with a strong performance in the road win at Franklin, recording
39 assists in the four-set victory while adding
three digs and a service ace to lead the SMWC attack.
Ricketts followed with another steady performance in conference play against Cumberland, posting
34 assists in four sets while contributing
six digs as the Pomeroys secured an important River States Conference win inside the Knoerle Center.
In addition to his playmaking ability, Ricketts added
nine digs and a service ace across the week while helping the Pomeroys maintain offensive balance throughout their matches.
The River States Conference weekly honor marks another milestone for Ricketts as he continues to lead Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College's offensive system during the 2026 season.
