SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. - The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods women's soccer lost today's match against Kaskaskia College 6-3. The Blue Angles scored first and did not look back but the Pomeroy fought until the very end as they scored three goals in the final 10 minutes of the contest. SMWC will be back in action on Saturday, September 15th against Earlham College. The first touch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. EST.
- The Blue Angels led the Pomeroys 6-0 with nine minutes left in the match
- At the 81-minute mark, Alexis Pflum scored on an assist by Haley Shuler to cut the lead 6-1
- In the next minutes, Ashley Jezik scored two goals (81:59, 82:40) to give The Woods some life
- Overall, this was the team's fifth loss of the season

SMWC will host Earlham College this Saturday at 4:00 p.m. EST. The Woods will look to earn their second victory of the season.
