SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. — The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team closed out its 2025 regular season on Saturday afternoon, falling
4–0 to West Virginia Tech at the SMWC Athletic Field.
WVU Tech (11–4–3, 8–2–1 RSC) struck early, scoring twice in the opening two minutes on goals from
Victoria Pare and
Julia Silva. Silva added her second of the match in the 62nd minute, and
Rylee Yeloushan capped the scoring in the 85th.
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods (1–15–1, 1–9–0 RSC) battled throughout and received a standout performance from goalkeeper
Lauren Rindone, who recorded
16 saves while facing 32 total shots.
Raelee Everhart registered both of the Pomeroys' shots on goal.
WVU Tech held a 32–4 advantage in total shots and 9–0 margin in corner kicks. Golden Bears keeper
Sandra Garcia Quilez made two saves in the shutout.
The match marked the conclusion of the season for the Pomeroys, who continued to develop their young roster through River States Conference play while showing growth and resilience down the stretch.
