OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team wrapped up its 2025 road slate Thursday afternoon with a 7–1 loss at Brescia University in River States Conference action.
Roxie Foerg provided the lone highlight for the Pomeroys, scoring in the 87th minute on the team's only shot of the match. Foerg's goal was her first of the season and capped a determined effort late in the contest.
Goalkeeper Lauren Rindone played all 90 minutes and recorded
eight saves while facing 35 Brescia attempts.
Brescia (11-6-0, 6-4-0 RSC) built a 2–0 advantage by halftime and added five more in the second half. The Bearcats were led by
Allana Colen Porto and
Geneva Hann, who combined for four goals and three assists.
SMWC (1-14-1, 1-8-0 RSC) will conclude its season on
Saturday, November 1, when it hosts Brescia once more at the
SMWC Soccer Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for
1 p.m. (ET).
