Box Score WYOMING, Mich. - The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's soccer team traveled to Wyoming, Michigan yesterday to battle the Grace Christian University Tigers. The Pomeroys offense attacked the net as they took seven shots on goal. The defense played stout they allowed one goal which carried SMWC to a 2-1 victory! The Woods will be back on the pitch in the final game of the inaugural season against the University of Cincinnati-Clermont on October 30th.
How It Happened:
- Armon Glenn found the back of the net on two separate occasions
- Andrew Aceituno finished the contest with two saves
- Evan Crowe and Nicolas Castrillon both tallied an assist
- Overall, SMWC outshot Grace Christian 7-to-3
Down the Road:
The USCAA will draw for bids to the 2018 USCAA Men's Soccer National Tournament on October 30th. The Pomeroys will likely be sitting as the odd team out but stay tuned to see if SMWC men's soccer will be heading to Virginia Beach.
