NDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's soccer team fell 6-0 to Marian University on Monday night at ASV Field.
Marian (5-1) scored four times during the opening 28 minutes and carried a 4-0 advantage into halftime. Samuel Wehaus led the Knights with three goals, completing his hat trick in the 60th minute.
SMWC placed five of its six shots on goal.
Mitchell Stewart led the Pomeroys with two shots on target, while
Jamachi Obiukwu recorded two attempts and one shot on goal.
Jacobo Galvez and
Mats Flick also tested the Marian goalkeeper.
The Pomeroys recorded six saves.
Harry Jackson played the opening 64:47 in goal before
Neil Reinisch closed the match with two saves and did not allow a goal over the final 25:13.
