ST. LOUIS — Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's soccer fell 2-0 to Harris-Stowe State University on Sunday afternoon at Hornets Field.

Harris-Stowe (5-3-1) scored twice during a six-minute stretch in the first half, with Benjamin Martinez opening the scoring in the 26th minute and Adefolarin Adigun adding a goal in the 31st.

SMWC (2-5-2) held the Hornets scoreless after halftime and finished with a narrow 9-7 deficit in total shots. Mats Flick led the Pomeroys with two attempts, including their lone shot on goal. Harry Jackson recorded four saves and stopped a penalty kick in the 42nd minute.

The Pomeroys return to Terre Haute on Tuesday, Sept. 29, for a 7 p.m. match at Rose-Hulman.
