SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. — The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer program has announced its 2026 schedule, featuring an exhibition match against NCAA Division I opponent Indiana State, 18 regular-season contests and eight River States Conference matches.

Head coach Ronald Kiernicki enters his fifth season at the helm of the Pomeroys.

SMWC will begin its campaign Wednesday, Aug. 19, with a 7 p.m. friendly match at Indiana State. The Pomeroys officially open the regular season Sunday, Aug. 23, at Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky.

The road-heavy opening stretch continues with matches at Judson University on Aug. 26 and William Woods University on Aug. 29 before SMWC returns to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods for its home opener.

The Pomeroys will make their 2026 McMahon Field debut Tuesday, Sept. 1, against Rose-Hulman at 5 p.m. The match will be the first of six regular-season home contests at McMahon Field.

SMWC returns to the road Sept. 5 to face Harris-Stowe State University before traveling to Taylor University on Sept. 9. The Pomeroys will then host Calumet College of St. Joseph on Sept. 12 and Anderson University on Sept. 16, with a road match at Governors State University scheduled between the two home contests on Sept. 14.

The nonconference portion of the schedule concludes Saturday, Sept. 19, when SMWC travels to La Crosse, Wisconsin, to face Viterbo University.

River States Conference play begins Oct. 3 with a road match against Indiana University East. The Pomeroys will play their first four conference contests away from home, also visiting the University of Rio Grande on Oct. 8, West Virginia University Institute of Technology on Oct. 10 and Brescia University on Oct. 15.

SMWC returns to McMahon Field for its conference home opener Sunday, Oct. 18, against Midway University at 1 p.m. The Pomeroys will also host Indiana University Columbus on Oct. 25 and Kentucky Christian University on Oct. 31.

The Kentucky Christian match will close the regular season and cap a stretch in which SMWC plays three of its final four contests at McMahon Field. The Pomeroys' final road match is scheduled for Oct. 29 at Indiana University Kokomo.

The opening round of the RSC Women's Soccer Tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 4. Teams finishing third through sixth in the conference standings will compete in the opening round, with the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds serving as hosts.

Tournament semifinals are scheduled for Nov. 7 at the sites of the top two seeds, followed by the championship match Nov. 11 at the home of the highest remaining seed.
