SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College senior Jerahmia Smith has been named the River States Conference Male Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the third consecutive week, the league office announced.

Smith continued his dominant outdoor season with another standout performance at the Greenville Select, highlighted by a first-place finish in the shot put. The senior from Phoenix, Arizona, recorded a school-record throw of 17.03 meters to win the event in a field of 40 competitors.

The mark not only secured the victory but also met the NAIA "A" standard and currently ranks No. 3 nationally this outdoor season. Smith's throw is the top mark in the River States Conference this spring.

In addition to his performance in the shot put, Smith also competed in the hammer throw, finishing 23rd with a mark of 42.14 meters.

This latest honor marks Smith's third consecutive River States Conference Field Athlete of the Week award, further solidifying his position as one of the top throwers in the NAIA.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods returns to action April 17-18 at the 121st Little State Championship, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
