2026 Indoor (Senior): Earned NAIA All-American honors after placing fifth in the shot put at the NAIA Indoor Championships with a mark of 16.66 meters (54-8). Smith set the SMWC indoor shot put record multiple times, finishing the season with a record of 16.68 meters (54-8.75). He finished runner-up at the River States Conference Championships, won the Anderson University Invitational and repeatedly surpassed the NAIA qualifying standard.

2026 Outdoor (Senior): Earned NAIA All-American honors with a third-place finish in the shot put at the NAIA Outdoor Championships, recording 16.95 meters (55-7.50) on his final attempt. Smith set the SMWC outdoor shot put record at 17.03 meters (55-10.50), won the River States Conference championship and captured shot put titles at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational, Fightin’ Engineers Spring Classic, Greenville Select Meet and Indiana Little State Championships. He also recorded a personal-best 42.93 meters in the hammer throw and placed eighth at the conference championships.
