SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. — Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College senior Jerahmia Smith has been named the River States Conference Male Field Athlete of the Week following a standout performance at the Friday Night Spikes Meet on Jan. 23.

Smith delivered a record-breaking effort in the shot put, posting a mark of 16.52 meters to finish second out of 22 competitors. The throw met the NAIA B Standard and broke his own indoor school record, further solidifying his place among the conference's top field athletes.

He also competed in the weight throw, recording a mark of 13.20 meters and placing eighth in a field of 23.

Smith's performances highlight his consistency, strength, and continued impact for the Pomeroys as the indoor season progresses.

SMWC returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 3 p.m. (ET) at The Rose-Hulman Classic in Terre Haute, Indiana.
