Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) track and field standouts Kyla Bradberry and Jerahmia Smith have qualified for the 2025 NAIA Outdoor National Championships, set to take place this week at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Bradberry, a freshman sprinter, earned her spot in the women's 200-meter dash with a school-record time of 23.90 seconds, recorded earlier this season. The mark not only shattered the SMWC program record but also ranks as the fastest in the River States Conference (RSC) this outdoor season. Nationally, Bradberry enters the event with the eighth-fastest seed time in the NAIA.

She will compete in the 200-meter preliminaries on Wednesday, May 21, at 5:20 p.m. ET. The top eight finishers from the prelims will advance to the finals, scheduled for Friday, May 23, at 4:10 p.m.

Bradberry's historic season includes three gold medals at the RSC Championships, further solidifying her place as one of the top sprinters in the conference and across the nation.

Joining Bradberry in Marion is senior thrower Jerahmia Smith, who qualified in the men's shot put after hitting the NAIA "B" standard with a throw of 16.09 meters at the Sycamore Open. That mark stands as the top throw in the RSC this season and places Smith 24th nationally heading into the championships.

Smith will compete in the shot put on Friday, May 23, at 1 p.m. ET. This marks his second national appearance of the year after also qualifying for the NAIA Indoor Championships in the shot put.
