KOKOMO, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) men's golf team turned in a strong performance on Sunday, finishing fourth overall at the IU-Kokomo Spring Shootout, hosted at Wildcat Creek Golf Club. The par-72 course played at 6,876 yards.
The Pomeroys posted rounds of
316 and
312 for a team total of
628, finishing behind Indiana-Kokomo (603), IU East [A] (604), and West Virginia Tech (618), and ahead of Holy Cross (641), Thomas More (644), IU East [B] (648), and Bluffton (661).
Top SMWC Performances
Benjamin Goshen led SMWC with a
154 (77-77), placing
9th individually in a competitive field of over 40 golfers. He was consistent throughout both rounds, staying inside the top 10.
Three Pomeroys tied for
14th at
159:
Brevin Cooper finished tied for
18th with a
160 (82-78), shaving four strokes off his opening round.
Nolan Allen, competing as an individual, shot
168 (82-86) to round out the SMWC efforts.
