WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's golf team completed the second round of their Florida trip by competing in the Kona Ice Keiser Kup, hosted by Keiser University. The event is being held at Okeeheelee Golf Course — a par-71, 6,813-yard layout.
Chase Nukols paced the Pomeroys on the second day of the tournament posted a round of 84 to lead the Pomeroys and coupled with his opening round of 89 gives him a 173 heading into Tuesday's finale. He moved up five spots in the overall standings to 73rd.
Nolan Allen fired an opening round of 82 and followed that with an 89 for a total of 171 and is in 71st place.
Nathan Fields followed his opener of 85 with a 97 on Monday for a total of 182 and is in 78th place.
Colby Beckwith also carded rounds of 85 and 97 to tie for 78th.
Camden Church posted an opening round of 92 and came back with another 92 for a total of 184 and is in 80
th place.
As a team, SMWC posted a score of 341 on Sunday and came back with a 362 which is in 14
th place. Host Keiser posted rounds of 281 and 298 to lead the field after the first two rounds of play.
The Pomeroys are right back at it tomorrow for the final round of the event.
