RICHMOND, Ind. -- Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College opened the 2024-25 men's golf season with a strong second place performance in day one of the IU East Invitational on Friday.

Justin Hopkins holds the individual touranment lead with a round of 67 to pace the team's strong 295 team score.

Chase Nuckols added a score of 73 to rank second among Pomeroys.  Hunter Martin scored 76 and Nolan Allen added a 78 to complete the team score.

Brevin Cooper and Grant Schlue each contributed opening round scores of 79 for SMWC.

The final day of the IU East Invitational takes place on Saturday.
