ADA, Mich. --- The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's golf team finished ninth over the last two days at the Egypt Valley Intercollegiate hosted by Taylor University. The three round tournament was held at the Egypt Valley Country Club which is a par-72 layout.

The Pomeroys opened play on Monday with rounds of 342 and 345 and finished up with a 350 on Tuesday for a final score of 1,037. Host Taylor posted an opening round of 324 and followed that up with rounds of 307 and 306 for a final score of 937 to win the event.

The top SMWC finisher was Brevin Cooper who posted a final round score of 81 to finish at 246 and tied for 23rd place. Chase Nuckols tallied a final round score of 86 for a tally of 255 which finished 36th.

Colby Beckwith posted a final round of 86 to finish at 260 and tied for 42nd. Grant Schlue's final round of 94 placed him at 267 for the event and tied for 48th. 

Nolan Allen & Ben Goshen both finished off the event with a score of 89 as Allen finished tied for 44th and Goshen came in 53rd.

SMWC returns to action on Monday, October 21 when they travel to the Kalamazoo Invitational.
