POMEROYS ROLLING
First-year coach Jesse McClung has the Pomeroys off to a 4-0 start in River States Conference play. 
The Pomeroys enter Saturday's game winners of six of their past seven and winners of nine of 10 against NAIA opponents. 
Two of the Pomeroys' three losses have come to teams now ranked in the Top 25. SMWC lost 75-72 to then No. 24 Lourdes and lost Nov. 28 to University of the Cumberlands, 93-87, and the unbeaten Patriots are ranked 19th. 
SMWC dominated Ohio Christian on Wednesday with a school-record 110 points in a 110-55 victory.
Cobie Barnes leads the team in scoring and is 17th nationally at 22.1 ppg. Greg Johnson is coming off a season-high 18 points vs. Ohio Christian.

STEALING SPOTLIGHT
Junior guard Greg Jenkins ranks 12th in the NAIA in the nation in steals per game with an average of 2.6 per game. Jenkins had a five -steal performance against the Cumberlands to tie the SMWC single-game school record.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE
Freshman Shon Tupuola has four double-doubles in the past five games for the Pomeroys. 
The 6-foot-9, 230-pound freshman is among the NAIA leaders in FG %, Rebounding and blocked shots.

ABOUT RIO GRANDE
Rio Grande ranks last in the conference in scoring at 70.5 points-per-game. The Red Storm are 11th in the league in 3-point shooting percentage (31.8) but fourth in 3-pointers made and second in attempts. Rio is 12th out of 13 in overall field-goal percentage. 
Rio Grande leads the league in turnovers at just 8.9 per game. The Red Storm are fourth in defensive field-goal percentage (42.4).
