SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's basketball team delivered a Senior Day performance to remember Saturday afternoon, overpowering IU-Columbus 101-70 inside the Knoerle Center.
In front of 400 fans, the Pomeroys raced to a 51-23 halftime lead and never looked back, closing the regular season in dominant fashion while honoring their senior class.

Ellis Todd led the charge with 20 points, knocking down six three-pointers on 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc. Fellow senior
Mike Ajukwa added 19 points and four rebounds, while senior
Stanley Harley contributed 16 points, five assists and three steals in an all-around effort.
SMWC shot 58.8 percent from the field in the first half and finished the game at 52.6 percent (40-of-76), including 15-of-35 (42.9 percent) from three-point range. The Pomeroys controlled the paint (44-26), forced 21 turnovers and converted them into 20 points. The bench provided a major lift as well, totaling 38 points.
Malachi Pearson paced the reserves with 15 points, going 5-of-7 from long distance. The Pomeroys also held a 40-35 advantage on the boards and recorded 14 steals in a complete team performance.
IU-Columbus was led by Trevin Lieck's 16 points and Damontae Thompson's 15 points, but the Crimson Pride never cut the deficit to single digits after the opening minutes. SMWC led by as many as 40 in the second half.
With the regular season complete, the Pomeroys now shift their focus to postseason play.
