MATCHUP

SMWC has defended the 3-pointer well in recent weeks, ranking third in the RSC with opponents shooting 31.5 percent from 3-point range.

The Pomeroys are led by Cobie Barnes in scoring at 21.8 ppg, and have two of the top five in the league in FG percentage. Shon Tupuola leads the league at 76.4 percent, while Chaz Birchfield is fifth at 60 percent.

A perimeter-focused squad, West Virginia University Tech leads the NAIA in 3-point shooting accuracy, knocking down 41.9 percent from long range and 52.3 percent overall, fifth best in the nation.
Brant Smithers leads the RSC in made 3-pointers with 53, hitting 39 percent. Braden Chapman is fifth in made 3-pointers with 39, hitting 46.4 percent.
Chapman (17.5 ppg) and Andrew Work (17.2 ppg) lead the team in scoring.

The Pomeroys are among the top rebounding teams in the NAIA, averaging 43.6 per game with a rebounding margin of +9.7.
Shon Tupuola is second in the RSC and seventh in the NAIA in rebounds per game at 11.1.
Barnes is 66th in the nation and eighth in the RSC at 8.0 rebounds per game. Chaz Birchfield is 16th in the RSC with 6.3 rebounds per game. Birchfield is seventh in the league in offensive rebounding at 2.9 per game.
