Pomeroys take on prestigious Whistling Straits

The SMWC men's golf team traveled to Kohler, Wis., for the opening round of the Whistling Straits Championship on Monday. 
The Pomeroys are in 15th place heading into Tuesday's second round on the course known for hosting the 2021 Ryder Cup and the PGA Championship in 2004, 2010 and 2015. 
Justin Hopkins led SMWC with a 91. Colby Beckwith shot 94, followed by Chase Nuckols (95), Brevin Cooper (96) and Hunter Martin (102). 
The Pomeroys tee off for the final round Tuesday at 11 a.m.
