SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. - SMWC women's basketball faced Lincoln College tonight in Hamilton Arena and was beaten 100-78. The Pomeroys trailed two points entering halftime but could not stop the efforts of the Lynx offense in the second half. The Woods falls to 4-12 on the season while Lincoln notched its ninth win of the year.
How It Happened:
SMWC and Lincoln College shared the offensive dominance in the first quarter as both teams scored 20+. In the second, Lincoln shot 40.9% from the field which gave them a nine-point lead entering halftime. In the second, LC went on a 10-0 run which forced an SMWC timeout. The Lynx never looked back as their offense fired on all cylinders putting up 20+ points every quarter. In the fourth, the Lynx largest lead of the night was 27 points. SMWC lost 100-78.
Statistical Leaders:
- Delaney Kendall led the Pomeroys in points with 17; she added three rebounds, one assist, and one block
- Regan Hubbard notched 10 points; she grabbed six rebounds and threw three assists
- Sydney Ingram scored 10 points; she tallied three rebounds, one assist, and one steal
- Avalee Jeffers tallied 10 points; she added five rebounds, two steals, and one assist
