Box Score MONACA, Pa. - The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's basketball team dropped tonight's game one contest of the Penn State Beaver Tournament. Penn State Beaver won the game 90-68. The Pomeroys could not find their niche offensively while PSB put together an overall solid game.
How It Happened:
SMWC was down 16-15 at the end of the first. At halftime, Penn State Beaver led 46-27. By the third quarter, the Pomeroys trailed 70-48. However, The Woods put up 20 points in the fourth quarter. Despite causing PSB to force 25 turnovers, SMWC ost 90-68
Statistical Leaders:
- Callan Taylor concluded tonight's contest with 10 points, two rebounds, and two steals
- Sydney Ingram tallied nine points, three rebounds, and a steal
- Avalee Jeffers added a whopping eight steals, six points, three rebounds, and one assist
- Delaney Kendall led the team in assists with three
