Box Score SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. -- The SMWC women's basketball team hosted Wilberforce University tonight at 7:00 p.m. The Pomeroys lost to the Eagles 106-82 which snapped their two-game win streak.
GAME FLOW
Early in the first quarter, SMWC and WU scored back and forth while both defenses struggled to make stops on the other end. The Pomeroys led the Eagles by the score 27-21 after they shot the ball 36.0% from the field. In the second, Wilberforce took the lead after they had knocked down 59.3% of their baskets. At the break, the Pomeroys trailed 15 points. At the start of the third quarter, SMWC and WU both remained strong on offense as they posted a combined total of 48 points. As SMWC entered the fourth, they trailed 82-63. Despite the scoring efforts of nine different Pomeroy player's, WU earned the victory.
