SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. — The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's soccer team will kick off its 2026 season at home as part of a 17-match regular-season schedule announced by third-year head coach Ron Kiernicki.

The Pomeroys open the campaign against Goshen College at 3 p.m. Aug. 21 at McMahon Field. The opener begins a nonconference slate featuring opponents from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri and Wisconsin.

Following the season opener, SMWC begins a three-match road trip with contests at Georgetown College on Aug. 23, Judson University on Aug. 26 and William Woods University on Aug. 29.

The Pomeroys return to McMahon Field to host Clarke University on Sept. 1 before traveling to Harris-Stowe State University on Sept. 5 and Marian University on Sept. 7. SMWC will welcome Taylor University to The Woods on Sept. 16.

The final two matches before River States Conference play will send the Pomeroys to Viterbo University on Sept. 19 and across Terre Haute for a 7 p.m. matchup against Rose-Hulman on Sept. 29.

SMWC opens its seven-match RSC schedule with four consecutive road contests. The stretch begins at IU East on Oct. 3 and continues at Rio Grande on Oct. 8, WVU Tech on Oct. 10 and Brescia University on Oct. 15.

The Pomeroys will close the regular season with three straight conference matches at McMahon Field. Midway University visits Oct. 18, followed by IU Columbus on Oct. 25 and Kentucky Christian University on Oct. 31.

The River States Conference Tournament begins Nov. 4 with opening-round matches hosted by the Nos. 3 and 4 seeds. The semifinal round is scheduled for Nov. 7, with the championship match set for Nov. 11.

Kiernicki enters his third season leading the Pomeroys after guiding the program to another milestone campaign in 2025. SMWC advanced to the RSC Tournament quarterfinals for the second consecutive season and hosted a postseason match for the first time in program history, continuing its climb in the conference standings.
