Jaeger Leads Pomeroys to Runner-Up Finish at Forest Hills Invitational

RICHMOND, Ind. — The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's golf team delivered a strong final round to secure a runner-up finish at the Forest Hills Women's Invitational, hosted by Indiana University East at Forest Hills Country Club.

The Pomeroys finished with a two-round total of 678 (348-330), improving by 18 strokes on Saturday to pull away from the field. Indiana East claimed the team title at 662 (338-324), while Indiana-Kokomo (717) and Earlham (794) rounded out the standings.

Individually, SMWC was led by Renae Jaeger, who placed second overall with a two-day total of 161 (83-78). Jaeger's final round 78 was among the best scores of the day and fueled the Pomeroys' climb up the leaderboard.

Bailey Barker turned in a seventh-place finish with a 169 (86-83), while Kristin Pagach added a top-10 showing in eighth at 170 (88-82).

Macie Shirk finished 13th overall with a 178 (91-87), followed by Brianna Andres in 14th at 179 (91-88) to round out the Pomeroys' team scoring.

Competing as individuals, Eva Mennonno recorded a 190 (95-95) to tie for 22nd, while Emily Vandall placed 24th with a 195 (101-94), highlighting continued depth for the Pomeroys across the lineup.

SMWC showed strong consistency in the final round, with multiple golfers improving their scores to secure the runner-up finish in the final tune-up before postseason play.
