LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's golf team wrapped up competition Tuesday at the Midway Eagle Invitational with a ninth-place finish at the University Club of Kentucky.

The Pomeroys recorded a two-round total of 645, carding rounds of 323 and 322 to close out the event.

Kentucky State and Marian (Ind.) shared the team title with identical totals of 593, while Indiana University East (617) and Indiana University Kokomo (631) rounded out the top four.

Individually, SMWC was led by Josh Michael, who finished tied for 15th with rounds of 79 and 76 for a total of 155.

John Amt followed closely, tying for 19th with a 156 (77-79), while Nolan Mishler placed tied for 28th with a 161 (84-77).

Neal Jeffery posted a 172 (84-88) to finish tied for 51st, and Nolan Allen rounded out the Pomeroys' scoring with a 173 (83-90), placing tied for 54th.

Also competing for SMWC, Tomas Carvajal recorded a two-round total of 178 (87-91).

The Pomeroys showed steady improvement in the final round, trimming a stroke off their opening score while competing against a deep and competitive field.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College returns to action April 20-21 at the Sagamore Shootout in Noblesville, Indiana.
