TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College delivered a dominant performance to capture the team championship at the Great Lakes Intercollegiates, hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at The Country Club of Terre Haute.
Renae Jaeger led the way for the Pomeroys, earning individual medalist honors.
Competing on a par-72 layout (288 team par), SMWC finished with a two-round total of 611, pulling away from the field with a strong final-round showing. The Pomeroys opened with a 332 before firing a 279 in the second round to secure the title by a commanding margin over second-place John A. Logan (655).
Jaeger paced the field from start to finish, claiming medalist honors with a two-day total of 145. After carding a 75 in the opening round, Jaeger surged on day two with a tournament-best 70 to separate from the field.
Elizabeth Ma of John A. Logan placed second at 151, followed by Erin Nolan of Hanover in third at 158.
The Pomeroys showcased strong depth with multiple top-10 finishes.
Brooklee Bussing finished fourth overall with a 165, while
Macie Shirk placed sixth at 169.
Bailey Barker added a tie for 10th at 176 to round out the team scoring.
Kristin Pagach also competed for SMWC, contributing to the team's overall performance across the two-day event.
