WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's golf team completed play Tuesday at the
Kona Ice Keiser Kup, hosted by Keiser University at
Okeeheelee Golf Course.
Competing in a strong NAIA field that featured several nationally ranked programs, the
Pomeroys finished
seventh overall with a
three-round team score of 1,077. SMWC opened the tournament with a
370, improved significantly in the second round with a
349, and closed with a
358 in the final round.
Renae Jaeger paced the Pomeroys, finishing
35th overall with a
three-round total of 259. Jaeger highlighted her tournament with a
second-round 80, the best round of the week for SMWC.
Macie Shirk followed closely, placing
37th with a
261 after rounds of
88, 85, and 88.
Bailey Barker turned in a strong improvement during the final round, carding an
85 to finish
tied for 40th overall with a
279.
Brianna Andres finished
44th with a
288, while
Kristin Pagach placed
45th with a
290.
Emily Vandall, competing as an individual, recorded a
304 across the three rounds.
The tournament featured several of the top programs in the NAIA, with
No. 1 Keiser (A) capturing the team title with a
908, followed by
No. 16 Texas Wesleyan (923) and
Keiser (B) (941).
