LAS VEGAS – The SMWC men's golf team completed the entire first round and part of the second round on Monday, with the second round concluding Tuesday morning at the Coyote Springs Invitational.

Through 36 holes, the Pomeroys were tied for 10th overall in the team standings.

SMWC posted a second-round team total of 317, showing improved consistency across the lineup on Day 2.

John Amt led the way for SMWC and was tied for 11th individually after carding rounds of 77 and 73 for a 36-hole total of 150. His second-round 73 marked the team's low round of the tournament and positioned him inside the top 15 of the 63-player field.

Nolan Allen turned in a strong bounce-back effort with a 79 in Round 2 after opening with a 95.

Tomas Carvajal added an 80 in the second round following an opening-round 89, while Carter Battin contributed an 85 to round out the Pomeroys' scoring efforts.

Due to commercial flight reservations, SMWC completed only a few holes of the third round before departing for the airport and did not finish the final 18 holes of competition.

Ottawa University (Arizona) led the team standings at 585 (298-287) through 36 holes, while Tytan Birchell of Ottawa (Ariz.) held the individual lead at 142 (69-73).
