KIRTLAND, Ohio — Former Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's basketball head coach and current Lakeland Community College Associate Vice President Terry Bowe has been selected for induction into the Lakeland Community College Athletic Hall of Fame, honoring a storied coaching career defined by competitive success, leadership, and long-lasting impact.

During his 18-year tenure as Lakeland's head basketball coach, Bowe compiled 310 career victories, led his teams to three OCCAC Championships, and guided five squads to national tournament appearances. Known for his fiery passion and tireless commitment, Bowe built programs that thrived not only on the court, but also in the classroom and within the community.

Bowe later brought that leadership to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, where he served as head women's basketball coach for three seasons. During his tenure, the Pomeroys recorded 54 wins, qualified for the River States Conference Tournament in all three seasons, and earned a home playoff game in 2024. Following the conclusion of his coaching tenure, Bowe has stepped aside from the program and will continue serving the College as Associate Vice President of Human Resources.

The Lakeland Community College Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Athletic and Fitness Center. The event will begin with a 9:00 a.m. breakfast, followed by a 9:30 a.m. induction program.

Bowe will also be recognized prior to tipoff as the Lakeland men's basketball team hosts the Owens Express at 11:00 a.m., capping a day dedicated to celebrating his legacy and contributions to collegiate athletics.
