RICHMOND, Ind. — The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) women's golf team surged to the top of the leaderboard after Round One of the IU-East Invitational on Friday at Highland Lake Golf Course. The Pomeroys posted a team score of
312 (+24) and hold a two-shot lead over Indiana University East going into Saturday's final round.
Brooklee Bussing fired a team-best
76 (+4) and is tied for the individual lead with Alma's Sarah Ream.
Renae Jaeger added a strong
77 (+5) to sit in a tie for third overall.
Macie Shirk shot
78 (+6) to tie for eighth, and
Bailey Barker rounded out the team's scoring with an
81 (+9).
Emily Vandall added an
88 (+16).
