SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – St. Mary-of-the-Woods College was represented by two student-athletes on the 2025 Midwest Sprint Football League Champions of Character Team, as the MSFL announced its annual honorees this week. Samson Ajao and Payton Harris were selected for exemplifying the NAIA's five core character values—integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership.

Ajao and Harris were chosen by SMWC for their consistent leadership throughout the 2025 season, both on the field and within the campus community. The pair embodied the ideals of the Champions of Character initiative, which recognizes individuals who model positive behavior, promote team culture and represent their programs with distinction.

The MSFL selects student-athletes from each member institution for demonstrating exceptional character and commitment to the values that elevate the collegiate athletic experience. Ajao and Harris join 10 additional honorees from across the league.

SMWC congratulates both Pomeroys for earning this recognition and for continuing to uphold the high standards of the program on and off the field.
