GOSHEN, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's basketball team erased a 15-point halftime deficit and stormed back for an 80–77 road victory at Goshen College on Wednesday afternoon, pushing the Pomeroys to
5–3 on the season.
SMWC trailed 45–30 at the break but responded with a dominant second-half performance, outscoring the Maple Leafs 50–32 behind improved shot-making and a 12-for-14 mark at the free throw line after halftime. The Pomeroys shot
54.5 percent from the field in the second half to fuel the comeback.
Stanley Harley provided a major boost off the bench with
12 points, including a timely 3-pointer and a perfect 3-for-3 at the line.
Ikechi Ajukwa anchored the interior with
12 points and seven rebounds, while
Malachi Pearson added
10 points and five boards.
Ellis Todd contributed across the board with
seven points, six rebounds and five assists, and the SMWC bench delivered a decisive
40–25 scoring advantage. The Pomeroys also controlled the glass, finishing with a
40–41 rebounding margin against a strong Goshen frontcourt.
Goshen was led by Marcus Northern's 18 points and eight rebounds. The Maple Leafs shot 92.6 percent from the free throw line but struggled from the field in the second half, converting just 7 of 27 attempts.

the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) for the Cumberlands Classic.
