5-Man Squad Falls to Alice Lloyd in Season Finale 89-49

Inaugural Season Comes to a Close

Box Score SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – The SMWC Men's Basketball team (3-25, 0-17) closed out their inaugural season with a loss to RSC powerhouse Alice Lloyd College 49-89. The team again was limited to a 5-man squad but nevertheless showed the same grit they have all season despite the 40-point loss. Elkin Ramirez, the team's leading scorer for the season, finished with 18 points while adding 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Dakota Sampson just missed on on a double-double with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

  • Ramirez was the leading scorer with 18 points, followed by Damon Ogletree with 13.
  • Sampson's 10 rebounds and Ramirez's 8 assists would lead the team.
  • The team shot just 35.6% from the field but 23.8% from three-point range. Their 66.7% from the charity stripe was well behind Alice Lloyd's 76.9%.
