SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. — Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College men's volleyball placed multiple student-athletes on the 2026 River States Conference All-Conference teams, highlighting a record-breaking season for the Pomeroys.
Yammiel Martinez and
Bentley Meyer were both named to the All-RSC Second Team, while
Tyler Duranceau earned Third Team honors.
Jalen Noveda represented SMWC on the Champions of Character Team.
Martinez capped off a dominant season as one of the top two-way players in the conference. He totaled 171 kills while hitting an efficient .426 and added 121 total blocks, averaging 1.25 blocks per set across 97 sets played. Martinez posted a season-high 13 blocks and 19 points in a win at Indiana East. His performance throughout the year earned him River States Conference Defender of the Week honors, as well as NAIA National Defender of the Week recognition.
Meyer, a consistent offensive force for the Pomeroys, turned in a strong junior campaign. He recorded 210 kills (2.50 per set) while hitting .258, adding 135 digs (1.61 per set) and 23 total blocks. Meyer's all-around ability was highlighted by a season-high 17 kills and 18 points in a win at Cumberland earlier this season.
Duranceau earned Third Team recognition after a breakout season as one of SMWC's most dynamic all-around players. He led the team with 265 kills (2.85 per set) while hitting .298 and added 165 digs (1.77 per set) and 44 service aces. Duranceau delivered a season-high 23 points against Hastings and recorded 16 kills in a win at Indiana East, while also posting a season-high 12 digs against Campbellsville.
Noveda was named to the Champions of Character Team, recognizing his commitment to the NAIA's five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership. Primarily serving in a defensive specialist role, he appeared in 17 sets and recorded 17 digs during the 2026 season, including a season-high eight digs in a win at Avila.
The honors come on the heels of a historic season for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. The Pomeroys finished with a program-record 27 victories and hosted the first home postseason match in program history. The senior class also closes its career with three consecutive winning seasons, helping elevate SMWC men's volleyball to new heights.
