LUBBOCK, Texas– The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College hunt seat team is sending a rider to the national stage once again, as Jaden Perry earned Reserve Champion honors in Open Fences to qualify for the 2026 IHSA National Championships.
Perry delivered a standout performance in a highly competitive class, securing a top-two finish and officially punching her ticket to nationals. Her ride continues a strong tradition for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College on the IHSA postseason stage.
Halle Minton also turned in an impressive effort for the Pomeroys, placing sixth in Intermediate Fences with a polished and consistent ride.
With the results, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College will be represented at the highest level of collegiate equestrian competition, continuing to build momentum heading into nationals.
WESTERN SEMIFINALS UPDATE
In the Western Semifinals on March 21-22, the Pomeroys placed 5th as a team to narrowly miss qualifying for the IHSA National Championships.
Claire Coryell led the individual performances with a national qualification in Level II Individual Horsemanship.
The 2026 IHSA National Championships are scheduled for May 1–3 in Mill Spring, North Carolina. Perry is scheduled to compete on Friday May 1 in the Open Equitation Over Fences competition, while Coryell will compete on Sunday May 3 in Level II Individual Horsemanship.
