WESTERN REGIONAL COMPLETE RESULTS
SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – Hosting the IHSA Zone 7, Region 1 Western Regional inside the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association circuit, the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College equine team delivered a dominant performance, capturing the High Point Team title and advancing multiple riders to the IHSA Western Semifinals.
SMWC totaled 291 team points to earn top honors, finishing ahead of Purdue University (274), Indiana University (154), Taylor University (137) and the University of Illinois (66).
The top two riders in each event advanced to the IHSA Western Semifinals, set for March 21-22 at Murray State University in Murray, Ky.
The Pomeroys were led by a standout performance from
Isabella Monnett, who won Open Horsemanship and earned the Back on Track Reserve High Point Rider Award.
Claire Coryell placed second in Ranch Riding and won Level II Horsemanship to punch her ticket to semifinals in two categories.
Kinsey Hall claimed first in Level I Horsemanship IHSA-Regional-Western-Results-2…, while
Isabella Parker secured a runner-up finish in Rookie Horsemanship.
In Alumni competition, Mary Kay Meyer placed second in both Alumni Regional Horsemanship and Alumni Ranch Riding.
Clair Schoettmer added a third-place finish in Level II Horsemanship and was recognized with the Sportsmanship Award highlighting the Pomeroys' competitive excellence and program culture.
By securing top-two finishes across multiple divisions, SMWC will be well represented at the IHSA Western Semifinals on March 21-22 at Murray State University.
