MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College opened the Blue Angel Bash with a dominant doubleheader, sweeping Michigan–Dearborn and host Mount Mary in straight sets to improve to 2–1 on the season.
SMWC handled Michigan–Dearborn 3–0 in the afternoon session, 25–13, 25–10, 25–19, behind a balanced attack that hit .294 (32 kills, 12 errors, 68 attacks). The Pomeroys doubled the Wolverines in kills (32–16), served 13 aces, and owned a 4–1 edge in total blocks while holding UM-Dearborn to -.015 hitting.

In the nightcap, the Pomeroys swept Mount Mary 3–0, 25–14, 25–12, 25–19, and elevated their efficiency to .372 (39-10-78) while limiting the Blue Angels to .027. SMWC finished with advantages in kills (39–18), aces (10–0), blocks (5–1), assists (38–18) and digs (34–26).
