LAS VEGAS — The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's golf team travelled on February 24 & 25 to Las Vegas to compete in the Trailblazer hosted by Oklahoma City University. The tournament was held at the TPC of Summerlin and Bears Best — both par-72 layouts.
SMWC finished 10
th in the field which featured a total of seven NAIA nationally-ranked teams. They carded team scores of 391 and 346 for a score of 737 and finished ahead of Lincoln (Mo.) and Benedictine-Mesa. Embry-Riddle posted rounds of 321 and 306 to win the tournament.
Sophie Boyll led the way for the Pomeroys with a 27
th place finish in the event with scores of 85 and 81 for a total of 167.
Renae Jeager opened play with a round of 99 and followed that with an 86 for a total of 185 and a 52nd place finish.
Brooklee Bussing was 53rd with rounds of 98 and 91 for a total of 189.
Kristin Pagach was 57
th in the event with rounds of 100 and 102 for a total of 202 while
Macie Shirk posted scores of 122 and 88 for a total of 210 and a 58
th place finish.
Bailey Barker was 61st with rounds of 109 and 114 for a total of 223 while Brianna Andreas carded rounds of 112 and 123 for a total of 235 and a 62nd place finish.
