SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's basketball team dropped a road contest Saturday afternoon, falling 106–49 to undefeated Spring Arbor inside McDonald Athletic Center.
The Pomeroys (0–5) were led by Abigail Parker, who scored 15 points on 4-of-12 shooting, including three 3-pointers. Talyssa Moody added 11 points off the bench, while Samara Douglas contributed 10 points and five rebounds.
Spring Arbor (5–0) used a fast start, outscoring SMWC 33–10 in the first quarter and shooting 50 percent from the field for the game. The Cougars held a 45–30 rebounding advantage and forced 39 turnovers, converting them into 56 points.
SMWC improved its shooting in the fourth quarter, hitting 8-of-15 from the field, but the early deficit was too much to overcome.
The Pomeroys return home for their 2025–26 home opener on Wednesday, November 19 at 6 p.m. (ET) inside the Knoerle Center.
