SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Hunt Seat Team turned in a strong weekend of performances at the SMWC Hunt Seat Show, hosted at the Mari Hulman George School for Equine Studies. The Pomeroys earned
Reserve High Point Team honors on Sunday after consistent rides across multiple divisions.
On Saturday,
Halle Minton led the way with a first-place finish in Intermediate Flat and a runner-up ride in Intermediate Fences.
Annabelle Luckcuck added third- and fifth-place finishes in Intermediate Flat and Fences, while
Grace Folz earned a blue ribbon in Pre-Novice.
Avery Mayes followed with a third-place finish in Pre-Novice, and
Carmen Creech and
Ashley Jones each contributed key points in Limit Flat and Novice divisions.
Sunday's competition featured another strong showing from
Jaden Perry, who won Open Fences and placed third in Open Flat.
Luckcuck collected a second-place finish in Intermediate Fences, with
Minton adding top-five results in both Intermediate classes.
Creech,
Alex Davis, and
Claire Coryell also placed in the top three of their divisions to help secure the Reserve High Point Team title.
The Pomeroys will conclude their fall semester schedule November 15–16 at the
Purdue Western Seat Show in
New Castle, Ind., hosted at the
Henry County Fairgrounds. Both days are set to begin at
9 a.m. (ET).
