SILVIS, Ill. -- A trio of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's golfers finished in the Top 26 at the TPC of Deere Run Invitational hosted by William Penn University. The three-round event was held on Monday & Tuesday (Oct. 14 & 15) at the TPC of Deere Run which is a par-72 layout that hosts numerous professional and top collegiate events over the course of the year.

Macie Shirk was the top finisher for the Pomeroys with a final round of 92 and a final tally of 266 which was good enough for 21st place. Sophie Boyll came in 24th place with a final round of 89 and a final tally of 269. Renae Jaeger was 26th with a final round of 88 and a three-round score of 270.

Bailey Barker fired a final round of 95 and a total of 298 to finish in 43rd place. Kristin Pagach posted a round of 104 and a three-round score of 301 for a 44th place finish.

Caroline Gibson of Indiana Wesleyan posted a score of 235 to win the individual event.

SMWC carded a final round score of 364 for a total of 1,097 to finish in a tie for seventh place with Upper Iowa. They defeated Missouri Valley College who posted a team score of 1,147. Indiana Wesleyan won the event with a score of 987. 

The Pomeroys will wrap up the fall season on Monday, October 21 when they travel to the Kalamazoo Invitational.
