Fointno is a native of Dayton, Ohio, playing at Huber Heights Wayne High School. Fointno went on to play at Lakeland Community College, averaging 9.8 points and 3.4 assists as a sophomore to earn all-conference honors. Fointno was a two-year starter before moving on to Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Fla.Â
