COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's volleyball went on the road searching for their first River States Conference road win of the season but it was IU-Columbus who earned the sweep of the Pomeroys on Friday night.
SMWC falls to 17-3, 1-3 RSC while IU-Columbus improved to 5-3, 1-1 RSC.
Game scores for the match were IU-Columbus winning 25-21, 25-20 and 26-24.
Tori Schopmeyer and
Grace Geisler led the way with nine kills each.
Aden Britt led the way with three service aces for the Pomeroys.
Alexis Keoho tallied 17 set assists and
Jocelyn Chavez paced the defensive attack with 11 digs.
The SMWC Pomeroys return home on Saturday, September 28 when they host IU-Southeast at 2 p.m. (ET) inside the Knoerle Center. It's Youth Day with all youth who attend the match being admitted for free.
