FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods men's volleyball team dropped its road match on Friday night to No. 15 nationally-ranked Indiana Tech by the score of 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-12).
Leading the way for the Pomeroys was
Christian Green with five kills while
Marko Zolnjan also tallied five kills and produced a hitting percentage of .250.
Jacob Wisniewski was credited with 10 set assists while
Julian Green added a solo block.
Brycen Yadao added a service ace.
In the first set, a kill from Green drew the Pomeroys within 12-10, but the Warriors would eventually pull away for the 25-18 lead. In the second set, Indiana Tech scored the first four points before Green recorded another kill to get The Woods on the board. Indiana Tech would go to win the set 25-17. Green recorded an early kill in set three to knot the score at 1 but the Warriors got out to a double digit lead and won the set 25-12.
St. Mary-of-the-Woods fell to 11-7, 2-5 WHAC while Indiana Tech improved to 14-1, 5-1 WHAC.
The Pomeroys are back in action against Indiana Tech on Saturday, March 9 at 3 p.m. (ET) in Fort Wayne.
