RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to host Rio Grande (Ohio) on Thursday afternoon (Oct. 3) in River States Conference play.
The Pomeroys fell to 1-6-2, 0-2 RSC while Rio Grande improved to 5-4-1, 2-0-1 RSC.
The match was scoreless until Rio Grande scored three times in a seven minute stretch before halftime and added their fourth goal in the 54th minute.
Dree Wilson earned the start at goal keeper and recorded 10 saves in the contest. SMWC managed five shots in the contest, including one each on goal by
Kennedy Trigg and
Kaylee Lowe.
The Pomeroys return to action on Wednesday, October 9 when they travel to Cumberland (Tenn.). Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. (CT)
