The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods women's basketball posted a season-high 92 points Saturday to cruise to a 92-66 River States Conference women's basketball victory over Carlow University.
Pomeroys' freshmanÂ
Kylee Stepp poured in a career-high 28 points, knocking down 8 of 11 from beyond the 3-point arc. The West Terre Haute, Ind., native's eight 3-pointers were one shy of the school record of nine set by Tara Parmer on Feb. 11, 2017.
Stepp hit four in the second quarter to help the Pomeroys take a 51-20 lead at halftime.
Abby Worley also knocked down 4 of 4 from 3-point range to help the team shoot 16 of 25 from beyond the arc. Worley finished with 12 points and seven assists.
Brooklynn Jones added 11 points
The Pomeroys (12-8, 4-8 RSC) are tied for 9
th in the overall RSC standings after the win.
