The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods women's basketball team welcomes the Thunderhawks of Miami University Middletown for a Saturday afternoon game at the Knoerle Center. The Pomeroys are coming off a 64-53 win over Simmons College (Ky) this past Thursday and will look to improve to 3-0 on Saturday. The Thunderhawks are 0-3 on the season coming into Saturday's game.
The Pomeroys have two players averaging double digits in scoring after two games in Samara Douglas, 14 ppg, and
Abby Worley, 12.5 ppg. Defense has been key for the Pomeroys early on as they have done a good job of limiting the three-point shot, opponents are shooting just 3-17 from behind the arc, and the Pomeroys are only giving up 52 ppg while scoring 69.5 ppg.
The Thunderhawks and Pomeroys will tipoff at 1:00 pm Saturday afternoon in the Knoerle Center.
