The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Pomeroys women's volleyball team is set to travel on a road weekend trip to Ohio Christian University on Friday night and then to IU East on Saturday afternoon. The Pomeroys currently sit fourth in the West Division and fifth overall in the conference standings with a record of 22-5 (8-5) on the season.
The Pomeroys will first face off against the Trailblazers of Ohio Christian University on Friday night starting at 7:00 pm. The Trailblazers currently sit third in the East Division and eighth overall in conference play with a record of 7-19 (5-8) on the season. The Trailblazers will look to give the Pomeroys their best shot as they own the final spot in the top eight who advance to the conference playoffs.
The Pomeroys will then travel to IU East for a Saturday afternoon matchup scheduled to start at 2:00 pm. The Red Wolves sit second in the West Division and third overall in the conference standings at 22-4 (12-2) on the season. The Pomeroys lost the first matchup between these two back on Sep 27 in three sets and will look to get revenge on the Red Wolves' homecourt.
With only five matches left in the regular season, these two games will be very crucial for the Pomeroys to get as many points as possible for the conference standings as they look to stay in the top eight after this weekend.
